Who is best placed to help you?

Start with a digital introduction. But before we get started together, we’d like to speak to you in person.

Ian van der Werf

High-Performance Trainer

I'm Ian (1984), the driving force behind De Werf. My roots lie in elite sport, where I spent years playing in national rugby selections and working in high-performance environments. That world taught me what it takes to perform sustainably: insight, discipline and the will to keep learning. As a strength & conditioning coach, I have guided national teams and helped countless athletes and motivated individuals become stronger, fitter and more resilient. Among other roles, I am head strength coach of the Dutch Women's Cricket Team, where I prepare athletes for international competition. My style is direct, knowledgeable and results-driven, but always with an eye for the person behind the athlete. I also taught at AALO as a Master Trainer for more than ten years, training future coaches. I wrote the Bootcamp Trainer and Weightlifting Level 1 courses, among others, which are still in use today. This combination of elite sport, education and hands-on experience forms the basis of how I work.

Anri McNally

Personal Trainer & Coach

I'm Anri McNally, trainer, coach and former elite athlete. As an international with the Dutch Touch Rugby Team, I know what performing demands of your body and your mind. But I also know how important it is to keep moving sustainably, in a way that fits who you are and where you stand right now. My coaching is not about training harder, but about building smarter. I help you grow in technique, strength and confidence - without performance pressure, but with clear goals. Whether you're an athlete or simply want to get more out of yourself: I create a safe and motivating environment in which you can develop. My style is direct and engaged. I look closely at what your body is doing, and listen carefully to what you need. Together we build rhythm, structure and progression - step by step, with lasting impact.

Björn Dolman

Personal Trainer

I'm Bjorn Dolman, professional rugby player, masseur and trainer at De Werf. Coming from elite sport, I know how essential it is to take good care of your body. Not just when something goes wrong, but precisely so you stay fit, strong and resilient. In my work I combine massage with training, guiding people who want to build their recovery, strength and confidence. That starts with listening to your body. Where is the tension? Where does it falter? What do you need to move forward? Sometimes that's relaxation, sometimes activation. Always attuned to your process. Whether you come with complaints or are working on lasting progress: I help you set that movement in motion. With attention, structure and an approach that fits your life. Together we create more space, recovery and results.

Our 3R philosophy

Wanting to get fit is all too often the result of a passing whim. Staying fit involves many more aspects, which are different for everyone. That is why, at De Werf, we advocate a holistic 3R approach that brings together mind, heart and body: reflection, rhythm and results.
