Personal trainer costs per month depend on your frequency, format and trainer. Learn what determines the price and why the monthly value matters more than the hourly rate.

How much does a personal trainer cost per month?

For personal training in The Hague, expect roughly 280 to 1,080 euros per month for one-to-one guidance, depending on how often you train, with which trainer and in what format. The hourly price says little; what counts is what a month of guidance gives you. Train in a duo or small group and the cost per person is lower.

Personal trainer costs per month mainly depend on your frequency. A 60-minute session at de Werf is between roughly 66 and 135 euros per person (one-to-one), and the more often you train, the lower the rate per session becomes. See the current prices on our Pricing page.

What determines the price?

  1. Frequency: once or several times a week. Training more often lowers the rate per session.
  2. Format: one-to-one is more personal, duo and small group are cheaper per person.
  3. Trainer: experience and specialisation play a part in the rate.
  4. Extras: additional guidance such as physiotherapy and nutrition and lifestyle coaching.

A monthly example

Suppose you train one-to-one:

  1. Once a week: about 4 sessions a month.
  2. Twice a week: about 8 sessions a month.

Multiply the session rate by the number of sessions and you have your monthly amount. Training twice a week builds results faster and earns you a lower session rate, so you are often better value per result.

Look at the value, not just the price

A personal trainer is more than someone standing next to you while you exercise. You pay for a plan, guidance, correction of your technique, and someone who keeps you on track. At de Werf, preparation, evaluation and reflection are included as standard, and physiotherapy and training can come together under one roof. That makes a month of guidance worth more than the sum of separate hours.

A real example from our practice

At first I only looked at the hourly rate and found it quite a lot. But after a month I noticed what I really got back: I finally trained consistently, my technique improved and I saw results that lasted. When I weighed that against all the separate subscriptions and good intentions I had let slip before, this was the investment that actually paid off.

Frequently asked questions about personal trainer cost per month

For one-to-one personal training, expect roughly 280 to 1,080 euros per month, depending on frequency, trainer and format. In a duo or small group the cost per person is lower.

Look beyond the price per session at what you can realistically keep up each month. Twice a week that you sustain for months delivers more than a busy schedule you drop. In the intake we match the rhythm to your goal and your budget.

With a monthly package you lock in a fixed rhythm and rate, usually cheaper per session and better for your results because you train consistently. Single sessions give maximum flexibility but cost more each time. What fits depends on how stable your schedule is.

Experience and specialisation help determine the rate. That means there is a suitable option for different budgets, from accessible to premium guidance.
